Bloomberg's Mark Gurman today said he expects a paid Apple Health+ service to debut next year.

In his Power On newsletter, Gurman said Apple Health+ will consist of an AI-based health coach that offers nutrition planning and medical suggestions.

Gurman initially expected the coaching feature to be part of iOS 19.4 (now known as iOS 26.4), but he later said that it would not be available until at least iOS 27. It would be built into Apple's Health app on the iPhone and iPad.

He did not say how much the service will cost.

Thought they would have went with "Apple Health PRO" instead of + for their naming scheme. Wonder how much more the + will end up costing

It’s been said before, but Apple’s wearables division is really missing an Oura-type ring and/or bracelet tracker that’s akin to jewelry for when you don’t want to wear the watch. That’ll help push these additional services.

Medical suggestions - that is so vague that it really means nothing … medical suggestions would need to be based on data analyzed, but what data?
Gurman at his best …
Yes. Is this going to be medial advice? If so what data is it trained on? Is there any human intervention/review (like by a doctor or nurse) before the AI spits out this advice?

I’m curious how many people would pay for nutrition planning. My health insurance already offers that to me at no extra charge. It also has an AI bot that hooks you up to a registered nurse to answer questions. Why would I use Apple over that?

If you can rival macro factor for cheaper than I would actually get it

Love macro factor, but I agree. I doubt they will rival it though, and if they fold it into Apple One I will explore it. However, if they do something ridiculous like charging separately or using it as a reason to raise the Apple one price again, I’m out.

Yea, Gurman uses the term "medical" and it could be something like eg Oura offers, analysis of data for shocker a subscription...

Guess we'll have to wait and see

Just hoping this gets added to Apple One

Without a complete overhaul of the app, it worth nothing.
Agree on both. But Apple shouldn’t be charging anything since it’s almost certainly gonna be integrated with Apple Watch.

Apple used to only charge for hardware but they’re slowing charging for software services too.

Software is Apple’s weakest link. iCloud still has a ton of bugs a decade after launch. As do iOS features like Screen Time, which is almost unusable
