Apple Hi-Fi: Any "stealth" improvements?

I am tempted to buy an Apple Hi-Fi — but just wondering if they ever got some "stealth" improvements? In other words, Specification improvements that were not announced.

Are they in anyway different from the ones released with such fanfare in February 2006? Or would I be buying "old" technology that might be updated soon?
Then again, does it really matter?

It's speakers and an enclosure, not really to much they can upgrade on it.

Better speakers
Better wiring
Better components on the crossovers
Better acoustic design of the enclosure
and a better power supply.
