Apple today shared a new Apple Pay ad ahead of the holidays, promoting the service's ease of use for online shopping. With Apple Pay, a stored card can be used for a purchase with just Face ID or Touch ID authentication, allowing for quick purchases.

In the spot, a woman with a plate collection has an empty spot, and she uses Apple Pay to purchase a plate in just a tap with Apple Pay.

The ad ends with the tagline "Pay the Apple Way," which is also the messaging that's on the Apple Pay website.

Her new plate getting delivered. Now THAT would have been funny!

I think there are a thousand better ways to showcase the convenience of ApplePay.

The Wallet/Apple Pay/Apple Card/Apple Cash/Apple Savings complement of services is a killer app in the Apple ecosystem. While I appreciate the humor, they don't do the service justice with this commercial. Instead of emphasizing the benefits of Apple Pay, the ad inadvertently draws attention to two potential drawbacks: impulsive online shopping and FOMO.

Celebrating people sitting on their butts and buying things that they don't need. Apple can be better than this!

I normally approve of most of Apple's ads, but this one just rubs me the whole wrong way!!

Seriously out of touch!
It’s catering to what so many people in the USA do. People sit at home, get fat, watch TV and buy stuff 🤷‍♂️😂

You might not approve of this lifestyle but Apple is only trying to sell a product to people who already have this lifestyle.

And platforming morbid obesity, which is killing 50% of the country.

"buying things they don't need" bugs you? Ever been in a Costco and see the carts full of absolute CRAP people buy? Does Costco rub you the wrong way? It a person's prerogative to spend their money however they want.

I don’t know about that plate collection but I’m glad that Chromeo gets some well deserved attention with this one…

Another depressing and dystopian styled ad by Apple. This latest Ad Campaign has been so bad. Bring back the fun creative ads.
