But .. he's so right.

We've ALL heard Apple chime this over and over and over again multiple times for years. You cannot ignore that and say he's 'wrong' regardless of your experience - Apple has been doing that exactly. It's probably why so many people that detest Apple call us Apple users, fans "sheep" or "sheeple" - and it's annoying.

Fresh sent of worldwide corporate communications is indeed needed.
And that’s why those who criticize this aren’t millionaires like this lady. Any admission of fault, or any perceived admission of fault, or any admission that an underdeveloped product is released might potentially cost the company billions.

@yaxomoxay gets it.

PEOPLE.

Apple has some of the smartest business people in the world. Historically even. They are very good at business. Much better than Mac Rumors commenters.

No, it is not. Apple's fiscal second quarter was amazing. Apple is not changing anything. There is no need to inspect and shake the Golden Goose when it is not broken.

Yeah, I think people forgot or aren't aware that a ton of effort goes into crafting comms for investor relations and non-marketing initiatives.
Yep, and nobody does communication better than Cisco. If she worked there, she'd be a great for this this position just about anywhere.

Although, I'm probably biased.

Having a great quarter doesn’t necessarily mean corporate communications leader isn’t needed.

I suppose it's fair to say there's always room for improvement, but that is not the comment I responded to.

The comment I responded to stated something to the effect of Apple needing to overhaul its messaging strategy.

Also, Apple has more than a "great quarter" recently. They make money hand over fist. You don't make that kind of money if you "need a messaging overhaul."

You need a messaging overhaul if you're in trouble.
