Dude. Are your fingers red from all that cherry pickin? If so, sad for you. Youre cherry picking the wrong references. A video game review is hardly the place for a critical look at a game maker. Think editorial. Think feature story. Think opinion of company, not opinion of game. To conflate the two is to do yourself a disservice in this debate.
I mean really. Work it out:

It took me 10 seconds to Google that article, and its actually relevant to my original point.
Apple hasnt lost their gaming soul, because they never claimed to have one in the first place. I dont care what a company stands for, as long as their quality (and to a lesser degree, brand) remains consistent. I love Apple for their devices, and I couldnt care less whether or not they provide for quality gaming software or gaming shovelware.
I have no idea how to respond to the sweeping and inaccurate generalizations in your final paragraph. Sure, Nintendo was once a great company. Ill even say theyre still a good company, if you dont mind shovel crap. Ill even say they still know how to innovate and create decent mobile games. But when it comes to classic, challenging, sophisticated gaming, well shoot -- ha ha -- 98% of their games dont remotely compete with Bioshock or any other three or four dozen games spread across the 360 or PS3. Its not even close.
Oh my gosh, but I guess I better stop praying to my own personal deity and start praying to Nintendo. After all, based on your comments, it appears Nintendo knows a thing or two about resurrection, too.
Keep an eye on the mail. Im shipping you a big silver plate, the one upon which you were just served.
PS This is all tongue in cheek and in fun. Dont take it too seriously. Just remember, weve all got a right to an opinion, and I respect everyones right to hold one, even when it appears to be based on something other than just the facts.
