AMD is up for sale?

Everyone's for sale if the price is right lol.

Because they don't have good experience with mobile designs, that is what ImgTec/ARM is best at and Apple already owns a part of them with plans to buy more of them down the line I imagine.

Also, AMD is a fabless company like Apple, they rely on others to build their chips.

I was thinking more of AMD to replace their reliance on expensive Intel chips so Apple could bring down their laptop/desktop component costs, but I take your point. Maybe it's a bad idea.

ARM chips are certainly better for mobile devices. Not sure if they will ever be powerful enough to use in laptop/desktop devices.
