What I expect is for SJW Cook to put his money where his mouth is and stand behind what he says. If he's going to see fit to lecture me on his pet sjw issues then he damn sure better do the same elsewhere. He likes to lecture people on LGBT, racial, civil rights & women's issues but that political bluster goes out the window when it affects his bottom line.
First, I find it very disturbing that one could consider "LGBT, racial, civil rights & women's issues" as "pet SJW issues."
As the CEO of a publicly traded company, you'd expect Cook to keep an eye on its bottom line, regardless of the country.
With that said, he can't ignore that the US and Saudi Arabia are very different countries, and the latter doesn't really have the freedom of expression and democracy that we enjoy in the Western world.

There is an awsome article jn Time Magazine this minth about how the new ruling Saudi Prince is making strides towards modernization and women equality. Its a good read

So... Allowing a few women to (maybe) drive a car without beating them up = strides towards modernization and women equality?

Well, that's great :)))

Regarding women, seems you don't read (the) news, it's changing but slowly, what do you expect, you can't expect it to go from very conservative to completely open in a year, it might take decades.

In countries where he can speak up he will, he could get jailed for speaking openly in many other countries.

Actions speak louder than words.

and murdering Yemenis and fighting with Qatar, the most tolerant (perhaps the second best after Oman) muslim country in the gulf.
I kid you not, the new one is worst of the bunch the house of Saud ever managed to produce.

I’m not interested in getting in a Political fight, but Qatar is my no means the second most tolerant Muslim country in the gulf. It follows exactly the same branch of Islamic teaching as Saudi (wahabi). On the tolerance scale you have UAE/Oman/Bahrain at one end, Qatar/Kuwait in the middle, and Saudi at the other end. Qatar is on a quest to modernise fast and is having its own internal struggles with this, but it’s still a way off on the tolerance scale.

I already said it before and say it again, what do you expect, he's the CEO of Apple, he's there to make money for the shareholders, he's not a politician.

????????????????????????????????
2019? Gee...what's the hurry...why not just make 2015 the opening....by then...maybe many of the old conservative arabs in saudi might be dead and buried.
