The Apple TV+ team is heading to San Diego Comic-Con International for the first time, with Apple planning to host a number of different panels. The cast and creative teams from "Severance," "For All Mankind," "Mythic Quest," "See," "Invasion," and "Foundation" will be holding panels.

Comic-Con attendees will also be able to participate in a special "Severance" experience with Lumon Industries.
In addition to these must-see panels, attendees will have the opportunity -- if they dare -- to get "severed" as they immerse themselves in the world of Lumon Industries at an innovative "Severance" installation at the Hard Rock Hotel. The experience will take new Lumon employees through their first day on the severed floor where all of their senses will be required if they hope to be reunited with their "outtie."
Panels will include "Inside Severence," "The Alternate World of For All Mankind," "The Players of Mythic Quest," and "Storytellers of Apple TV+."

San Diego Comic-Con International will take place from Thursday, July 21 through Sunday, July 24. Dates and times for panels will be announced closer to the event.

Foundation, For All Mankind, and Severance, in particular should definitely have panels at Comic Con. Excellent sci-fi, they'd fit right in. Was Apple not doing this before?
I don't think Foundation and Severance had even been released before the previous Comic Con.

Apple will flop as long as it can't produce shows like The Boys, aka total freedom for creators. As it does allow in music.

Apple should buy something like Cyberpunk and use it as a label for an adult section on the service, games and video.
I hear more and more people (non-tech/non-Apple people) talk about AppleTV+ shows. It’s anecdotal, but it seems to me they’re slowly getting there and garnering a reputation as a quality content platform.

Over the past two decades, San Diego Comic Con has become one of the more important venues for major film and television studios to engage their general fanbase and to showcase products and talent.
I do miss the days when San Diego Comic-Con was an event primarily for those of us who create, you know, comic books. For many years, my team was one of the few from Japan to have a booth in the convention center. Good times!

Unfortunately, American comics is dead. Manga has been dominating the top 20 list for years now. Marvel and DC lives on in movies and TV shows, but at the rate Disney and WB have been destroying the Marvel and DC franchise, it won't be long before people lose interest completely.

LOL, is this a two-year old comment stuck in your drafts? "Apple," objectively, has far from flopped with this, already.

"should buy something like Cyberpunk" Ohhh, okay, this is just some AI-generated comment. Got it.

Indeed. 2008 was the last time I attended (after attending every year since 1990) because it became impossible to get a hotel room next to the Convention Center and almost every panel room was at 100% capacity so you pretty much had to pick one room to stay in each day.

Apple TV+ is still devoid of much to watch for my age group. Glad the Comic-Con people are pleased, but nobody I’ve talked to over 40 thinks TV+ has much worth watching. I only keep it because it comes with Apple One.
That's...very interesting – I wouldn't agree with that and I've had the exact opposite experience. Lots of people 40+ that love "Trying" or "For All Mankind" or "Slow Horses" or the film "Greyhound," etc. They do have some kids andnYA shows but very few things are skewed so young. I don't see many twenty-somethings waxing poetic about "Severance."

I'm truly confident there's something for you with whatever genres you're into, to be honest, regardless of age. Definitely worth exploring if you have access.

Lolwut? Have you seen any Apple TV+ shows besides Ted Lasso and Helpsters? There is stuff on the service that is every bit as “adult” as The Boys.

Oh damn thanks for reminding me to leave town lmao. Going to go up north to Temecula to stay until comic con craziness is done. Have fun guys !!!

Thanks to the comments I am now aware of El Gato Negro. Robert Rodriguez! Since this has been in development for a long, a trailer would be good indeed.
Also curious to see a trailer for season 2 of atmospheric slow burn SF Invasion.
For myself, not watching every day, Apple TV+ would be largely sufficient. Most things I have seen were worth watching, often really good.
I could easily kick out Netflix were it not for the cartoons that my kids like to watch, and the romantic Korean dramas that my wife loves.

What's the point of Apple Tv+ going to Comic-Con and not giving us a trailer for El Gato Negro???
99.99% positive this show hasn’t even been cast or begun filming yet. We would have heard something if it was close. 0.01% chance Apple started production without anyone knowing.
