please post your experiencs with
backspace
mine can delete all text if pressed by more than a second:mad::mad:

I once got a glitch, I wanted to delete a 6 character word from an email I was composing, and the backspace key got stuck and kept erasing. I had to press the Home button to stop it.
 
I've never had that problem. Ergo, anyone who says they have had this problem is lying.
 
I sometimes have this problem. Backspace just remains pressed in and I can see everything getting deleted....
Get used to it, I would say.
I am pretty sure Apple is keeping an eye on user experience and will improve the software on iPhone
 
By holding down the backspace button, instead of deleting letter by letter, it will delete word by word. But that's only after a few seconds.

He's talking about a glitch where you tap the backspace key a couple of times very quickly and it gets stuck "on" as if you were holding it, even though you aren't.

I've had my phone since July and I'd say it's happend about 20-25 times in the last 6 months. I haven't noticed it recently. I don't know if they fixed it or if I'm just getting lucky.
 
With my first gen all the time the backspace did stick, but it really was lag from the keyboard and it just happens to get stuck when using the back space. I haven't noticed the issue with my 3G, then again I only have had my 3G since the begining of the week.

not true it happens to me ONLY when in cydia and i type in the search box but if you press the x it delets the whole word or words you were typing
 
if you reply some text with more than 4 lines you get the backspace stuck when tapd for more than 1sec
 
Yes, I've had some problems. When I back space a few times really quick, it doesn't stop! So instead of deleting one word, it deletes my whole damn email! :mad::mad:

Haha, this might be the dumbest thing ever said on this forum. My backspace has gotten stuck in SMS more than five times. It deletes everything. The only solution I've found is hitting another key while its deleting, usually stops it.

Lol, just because YOU and your perfect iPhone hasn't had this problem, it doesn't exist? I bet this hasn't happened to you either, but I assure you, it does exist. Clown.

He was being sarcastic. He was making fun of the people who say that the problem doesn't exist because their iPhone doesn't have the problem.

You know, the "Mine's working fine" posts.

Perhaps next time, you'll follow the forum rules and treat people on the forum with respect, instead of being rude.

Start a new email. Then write anything you like and end with a period. Now, immediately after the period (no spaces) enter any capital letter. Then hit backspace. Well, we are always learning.

I'm using the last firmware. Portuguese and English Intl Keyboards.
When replying at forums, if i need to delete some words, i press the backspace key waiting that the software deletes them. The problem is the software: it starts to delete letter-to-letter and unexpectedly word-to-word.

There's no way to control this behavior and if you don't want to delete all the text and wait forever, you have to press the backspace at a low frequency.

Also you feel that backspace don't work at realtime, and you cannot use them efficiently.

Does your backspace delete everything in situations other than what was described in that other thread?

i try to delete this sentence before , pressing the backspace by a second.

I've experienced that multiple times. If you press it more than 4 or 5 times quickly, it goes on a crazy deleting rampage and erases your entire email or text.
