He was being sarcastic. He was making fun of the people who say that the problem doesn't exist because their iPhone doesn't have the problem.

You know, the "Mine's working fine" posts.

Perhaps next time, you'll follow the forum rules and treat people on the forum with respect, instead of being rude.

Someone needs a new sarcasm detector.

Yeah, totally didn't catch the sarcasm from that one. Apologies across the board. I still don't see the sarcasm, but if you guys insist, I guess you're all buddies with Chundles.

I'm not. I don't know him. But I see the sarcasm mostly in the fact that I'm pretty sure he doesn't believe that, and he used "ergo," which is a completely legitimate term, but his use of it here jumps at me as simply poking fun at people arguing that.

I've experienced that multiple times. If you press it more than 4 or 5 times quickly, it goes on a crazy deleting rampage and erases your entire email or text.

Aha, so I'm not alone! :D

The only way I've been able to stop it on it's 'rampage' is to spam tap a load of other keys, and normally it'll stop. But it's so damn annoying to see minutes of typing disappear before your eyes! If there was copy and paste it'd be better, because I always copy medium/large pieces of writing, just in case something goes wrong (forum posts, comments, IMs, emails etc.)

And if it makes any difference, this happened before and after my iPhone was jailbroken.

When replying at forums, if i need to delete some words, i press the backspace key waiting that the software deletes them. The problem is the software: it starts to delete letter-to-letter and unexpectedly word-to-word.

If you hold down the delete key after it deletes about 5 letters is starts deleting word by word. That is by design. When you let go of the delete key it is suppose to stop. Sounds like that is where your problem is.

i have also experienced this if our wanted to erase a bunch of letters sometimes it "gets stuck" and erases everything
