Apple ID and downloading apps?

Hi all,

I want to change my apple id/email which I have but whenever I goto my phone to update the apps it keeps asking me for the password for my old email address!
I have changed it to the new one under "iTunes & App store" but nothing seems to work?!

Any ideas? thanks
