Apple ID help

    Hey everyone-

    So when I updated my iPad it made me enter my email address as the Apple ID. Well now on my iPhone I cannot purchase anything because the Apple ID is still my "old" ID.
    Is there anyway from the phone that I can change the Apple ID to my new ID, or do I need to completely reset my entire phone?

    Click on settings, scroll to store, log out. Log in with your new ID.

    Why the lady on the phone did not tell me this, or why she made me email Apple iTunes support is beyond me.

    It sounds like you've inadvertently created a second AppleID. AppleIDs cannot be consolidated/combined, so any purchases you make with the new one are not going to be accessible in iTunes in the Cloud from the old one. This also may pose a problem if you use iCloud and sync your contacts, calendars, bookmarks, etc to a particular AppleID. As long as you can tell which AppleID goes with what service/data set you should be fine.
