I've worked on this with Apple support multiple times, we're stuck .....

Some time ago my @me AID/iCloud started to ask me to login, and then failing saying that it's locked for security reasons .... it's an old account ≈ 2011, so I don't remember my "secret answer", I know, stupid me, my fault entirely.

Apple support said: nothing to worry about, you have your associated devices with you, and you also have your associated cellphone#, we'll send some codes and solve it in no time ...... not.

None of the codes, sent to either iPad or iPhone (popup on screen) or via Texts, that I had to read back to them weren't accepted by their systems ....

So I'm stuck, I didn't use iCloud much, and that's why I didn't care to secure and update it, but now I realize how dependent our devices are on it, I'm really handicapped now.


Please, share your thoughts, what could be done here, what my course of action should be.


P.S. I don't have 2FA, I didn't add another email for recovery, so no recourse here, tried my "secret answer" dozens of times; only two avenues available: associated device itself and cellphone#, am I missing anything?

P.P.S. I can't even migrate to another AID for iCloud without wiping entire device - even after disassociating my iPhone from locked AID (after sending them my receipt) - if I restore from iTunes backup (tried both pre-lockup, after) it preserves ondevice "lockin" to old AID even it's long been disassociated from it.

P.P.P.S: and I didn't mess with AID/iCloud in question at all prior to lockup, so my guess is someone tried to login into my AID by mistake? ..... It's still locked, so I guess there's no foul play there?
