Apple ID question

I keep getting a sign in for apple id, I put it and the iphone 7 says it is wrong. Then it says to unlock it they will send email, which I do not receive it. How can I fix this?

Where ever i happen to be, mail, unlock screen, in an app,etc.

I fixed it, the Apple emails were going to my outlook email address. I discovered this when I opened my iPad this am.
