Are you a sound pro? I've never had a problem with a decent set of speakers playing uncompressed (FLAC or otherwise) music, but then I'm not too much of an audiophile. I think we can all agree, though, the quality of the default apple sound speakers (ipod headphones included) is complete s***. That said, I have a set of creatures, and I really like them. They're sound quality is pretty good (IMO), and they look really cool!
i have iMac g3's and a iMac g5 1stgen 1.8ghz and eMac's ,i would say in relation to the size of the speakers they have inside ,i mean they are tiny ,but they sound awesome if you compare them to other "all in one" or tv speakers
ok on my iMac G5 i have connected a set from "teufel germany" and i think they look great (you get them in black too for the newer iMac's)
and sound about £ 1000 more expensive then they are and they certainly give the bose's ,B&O's and logitech a run for their money
