Only Apple? Same factories/workers make everything from your AC to your power strips.

In this specific example we were discussing Apple but they are - obviously - not alone in having stuff manufactured in China. Nobody claimed that.

If all of the business Apple conducted with them was done before the sanctions were announced, I find it hard to get too upset about this. Yes, it’s unfortunate, but hardly Apple acting in a abhorrent manner.

Not to mention that the decision was made by an adminstration that has been less than honest with the American people. I would put more weight in Apple's determination of whether this company used forced labor.

Is it seriously that much of a cost saving than to get a blue t-shirt and print an apple on it domestically?!

Yes, probably 80% cheaper.

Could be just some sorta side deal with the ChiComms.

e.g. We’ll let you sell 200,000,000 iPhones in China if you let us make 200,000 Apple t-shirts in our labor camp.

Types 'Chicomms' on Chinese made keyboard, computer, through Chinese made network switch wifi router. The saddle you ride that high horse on is probably made in china too lol

What kind of click bait crap is this? Apple bought stuff from a company, stopped, then later that company was accused of slavery. After an audit, they found no slavery. So how the hell is this news?

Yes, probably 80% cheaper [to buy shirts from China rather than the U.S.].

Perhaps that’s because they are using “forced labor” (a.k.a enslaved people).

I don’t care if it is China, Venezuela or Saudi Arabia, democratic countries should not allow their economies or their security to become dependent on totalitarian regimes.

They should've included those Uyigur muslim slaves working on those shirts in their multi-ethnic happy employee pictures with Tim dancing in the middle under the LGBT flag.

So...they bought the shirts before the sanctions were in place? So what exactly is the issue? If they bought the shirts afterward, well then there is a problem.

The whole thing is speculation anyway.
