The iPhone minis are becoming rare. I would have thought the value would go up. I guess they’re not that valuable to Apple.
That’s the thing. I believe this is just an intrinsic value plus a bit. I am sure it probably helps them to reduce buying new materials but they don’t have a need to be buying these devices at market price, and I don’t see why they should.

I mentally cannot being myself to trade anything in for those values knowing, how much I spent for it initially. Instead I have it collecting dust in a drawer, which doesn’t make much sense either 😅
My last trade in was my Apple Watch 4. But the market is flooded. It’s worth nothing to me if I can get nothing for it.

At least its an increase even if its by little but I get the distinctive feeling that Apple will also be increasing their prices with the new launches...

Better for me, I guess, now I get a $25 discount if I somehow need to buy a new iPad within this trade-in interval.
Though I do feel bad for iMac owners... ouch

At least I don’t feel bad with my Apple Watch Series 4. I have no intention to trade this thing in I’m gonna keep it in September I’ll get the new model.

Same. So glad I’m not the only one LOL.

Yes I have a 12 mini - the value is so low I'm thinking of keeping it when I get a 14 Pro (and getting a new battery for it) as an emergency phone.

4 examples where it has gone down.
17 examples of staying the same, and
15 where it has gone up.

But people focus on the negative? I don’t understand the mentality of people being so negative, so much of the time.

Good on Apple for making a positive change, even if it isn’t a lot. At least it’s better than what it was.

Yes but I think the point was that the MacRumors post is titled 'Apple Increases Trade-In Values for Select iPhones, iPads, and More' – so the best way to make that heading make the most sense would be for MacRumors to include only the computers that have increased trade-in values.

If MacRumors want to include details of changes to trade-in values, they could have titled the post 'Apple Changes Trade-In Values for Select iPhones, iPads, and More'.

I'm tempted to trade in my 13PM for a 15PM when they come out, but I'm not sure whether I should keep the 13PM as a device to make iOS apps on and so that I have another device to install developer betas on. I do not want to install developer betas on my main device.

I think this just funny, that you can buy macbook air with up to 2500$ price (but more reasonable is to select 1400-1700$ option for m1/m2), and give it back to Apple for max value of 450$. In my country you can probably buy such mac for similar price only with cracked screen or something :)

Apple increases trade in value!

Yay!

iPhone 12‌: Up to $300 (No Change)

Eff me, I guess?
