Nice! I wasn’t able to usen my education discount for the iPad itself. $50 but also traveling to new hamphsire (30 minutes) to also get it tax free. So $1449 for the 512 12.9 with LTE was good for me.

Just got email confirmation of my pick up order for a 256g cellular 11” space gray iPad Pro!
I just got my email, too. Still over an hour before the store opens. Gives me time to run an errand in the area before hitting the store.

So line cleared out immediately as the store opened and the store is moderately busy.
When they tell you your order is ready for pickup, they lie, still waiting 20 minutes later.

Was like that Sunday after the Redskins game. I booked it from the stadium to the store to pickup my Beats headphones and extra USB-C cord for the ipad. Takes forever for anyone to even acknowledge you. This is why I like the Annapolis store most but I had no time to go all the way there and get back in time for work in Alexandria
Why I get my info from MacRumors - I would have assumed the delay in shipping meant in-store pickups would have the same delay. I reserved my 12.9 256g space grey iPad and a new pencil for pick up this afternoon.
Last time I bought an iPad I spent the afternoon watching movies in the living room (right by the front door). Since then delivery service in my area has gone downhill and I would no longer trust most of the drivers to even bother ringing my doorbell before dropping the package and leaving. This is not a suburb - I live in an old urban area with my front door just a few steps from the busy sidewalk. Sometimes they even leave it by the basement door - prime package stealing territory.

Just went to apple.com to see if I could reserve one for pickup but the website keeps crashing... must be a lot of people trying to reserve.

Was relatively painless. Walked in, waited to speak to someone, they scanned me in, & we chatted while someone brought my pencil & pro out. Only annoying thing is they claimed they had no folios ( not keyboard folio, I wasn't feeling that ) in stock. I decide to check online where I can find one, says the store has them and I can pick one up today. 😡
Not feeling the drive right back out there. Might go tomorrow or Friday. The store must really want to sell the keyboard folio. Best Buy says they will not have any in stock anywhere until next week.

Picked up my haul at the Apple Store today. Cancelled my Verizon order which was supposed to deliver today but the order hadn’t been processed or shipped as of 6am today... So as soon as pickup in store went live on the Apple Store app, I snagged a 12.9 1TB LTE model, a keyboard and pencil. Also got bew headphones, a headphone adapter, and extra USB-C cable (2m). Now to find a screen protector and keep my eye out for a new case (want a custom anime themed case). But I’m hearing glass screen protectors seem to be affecting the screens and FaceID, so I’ll probably keep my stuff boxed until a good one comes out or I can find a decent film protector
