I'll update once AI is fully available. I'm growing tired of Apple's "Coming Soon" software strategy.
What's not embarrassing about it?What’s embarrasing about it? I would say that half-baked, no privacy, stealing, problematic AI that others put out are more embarrassing.
Apple takes their time and do things and that is fine.
I remember Star Citizen wasn’t launched within the next few months 😂😂😂What's not embarrassing about it?
It was announced at an event for iOS 18, and yet, it'll probably be released fully a year later.
Shouldn't have announced it if they didn't plan on releasing it within the next few months.
Let's not kid ourselves. AI was a cover for what would've been an update focused on shaded icons that can be placed anywhere on the home screen otherwise.I remember Star Citizen wasn’t launched within the next few months 😂😂😂

iOS 18 is literally nothing without AI included.
It's starting to get late enough in the summer that September is uncomfortably close. I wish they would just give us some access so we could start trying to have it incorporated by release day of iOS 18.My bet is that most user facing and consumer oriented features such as the image generation and summarization features will be available to test during the summer beta cycle and the more advanced Apple Intelligence features, like the Mail categorization, onscreen AI and Siri 2.0 features will be beta tested starting with iOS18.1 beta in September all throughout the rest of the year.
Sounds like a bunch of features for a .6 update, rather than iOS 18.Updates to Safari, Mail and Messages, revamped Control Center, biggest Photos redesign in years, Passwords app, new way to customize home and lock screens, Math Notes, updates to Home, Journal, new AirPods features…. But yeah, it’s literally nothing without AI.
Except it’s quite a solid update without AI.
If you look at the papers on AI techniques that Apple have been publishing for the last couple of years, you can see that they have been working on this for quite a while. Perhaps they could have started sooner, but what they have shown at WWDC is not something thrown together without much thought at the last minute. It’s very cohesive and well thought out. It also is a lot of complicated work so it’s no surprise that its going to take a while to finish the work and make sure that it is pretty solid when it finally does ship.Well its almost like apple started with the AI stuff only few months ago and they really didn’t have anything special for iOS 18. Since they wanna sell new hardware they come up with “later this year” or “early next year”. Its so sad really…they had years wasted doing nothing with Siri…
Why, where is that rule written? What's not embarrassing about it?

Of course, on their own, those features would not be a major release, but they are impactful. I would expect that much of the dev focus is going into the various AI features, so of course there aren’t going to be a lot of other really big features. What did you expect?Sounds like a bunch of features for a .6 update, rather than iOS 18.
Those are all incremental updates. Man, are your standards low.
I didn’t notice this until I saw this post.even though it's not added. I have noticed that my autocorrect, word completion and grammar check being a lot better and quicker. so much so, I've removed Grammarly. not too sure if its a precursor to AI but definitely welcomed
You don’t have to defend apple, its okay to say that Siri was ****** when everyone else already got a way better assistant.no they didn’t, references to private cloud compute servers can be found in iOS 16.4
When everyone else had a marginally better assistant. You don’t have to defend apple, its okay to say that Siri was ****** when everyone else already got a way better assistant.

I’m sure the SEC and shareholders would launch an investigation. Why, where is that rule written?
It better not be delayed; because I just upgraded my iPhone 13 Pro Max to a 15 Pro Max for this feature. I'm also running iOS 18 Beta 4 and am PISSED it's not out for me yet. I want my $1,700 back.
Apple Intelligence is still not available as of the fourth developer beta of iOS 18 this week, leading some to wonder if the features have been delayed. However, we have confirmed that Apple still plans to add some of the new Apple Intelligence features to an upcoming beta this summer. In other words, developers will be able to test the first Apple Intelligence features at some point before iOS 18 is widely released to the public.

Given that public betas of iOS are based on developer betas, Apple Intelligence will likely be added in an upcoming iOS 18 public beta version as well.
Apple in mid-June removed the "this summer" timeframe that initially appeared at the bottom of its Apple Intelligence page for developers, but as we stated above, there is no change in plans from what Apple announced at WWDC. The features will likely be added before the end of August, ahead of iOS 18 being widely released in September.
Apple Intelligence features will be available in U.S. English only at launch, and they will require an iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max. The features will also be available on Mac and iPad models equipped with an M1 chip or newer.
Apple Intelligence will be able to summarize text, prioritize notifications and emails, and generate custom emoji and images, while the technology will also power a smarter version of Siri with richer language understanding, deeper per-app controls, on-screen awareness, and more. Apple said some of the features, along with support for additional languages and software platforms, will be added "over the course of the next year."
Even when iOS 18 is widely released in September, Apple said some of the Apple Intelligence features will still be considered a "preview" for all users. The full rollout of Apple Intelligence on the iPhone is expected to be completed in 2025.

It’s crazy reading some of the comments on here. It’s literally like there is no decision Apple can make people will like. The negativity sometimes is overwhelming. Thank you so much for your post. ✊🏾Updates to Safari, Mail and Messages, revamped Control Center, biggest Photos redesign in years, Passwords app, new way to customize home and lock screens, Math Notes, updates to Home, Journal, new AirPods features….
