Maybe I was not looking in the right place but I couldn't find the existing Ocean bands (orange, white, dark blue and yellow) anywhere on the Apple site after the update.
I think I found the answer:
You can match most bands with any Apple Watch Series 3 or later case of the same size.

40mm, 41mm, and 42mm bands are all compatible with 40mm, 41mm, 42mm case sizes. 44mm, 45mm, 46mm, and 49mm bands are all compatible with 44mm, 45mm, 46mm, and 49mm case size

That green one on the left in the picture looks like some grandma's knitting project... I mean, it's very charming in a "spend quality time with granny" kind of way, but I don't know who'd pay $300+ for it. 😩

I miss the days when Apple was about being the (nice) computer for everyone. It's always been a luxury product to a degree, but they are leaning way too hard into that these days.

That Hermes band is pretty cool looking but $450 for a band is laughable. I'll wait for a $10 knockoff on Aliexpress or Amazon.

Does anyone find it odd that Apple Watch has such a focus on activity and fitness and yet so many of the bands are not conducive to that at all? Like I get having variety, but Apple has more options that are not for sport than the ones that are.
Here are my thoughts.
When the apple watch first came out they had all those "Edition" versions that were $10k+. Now unless you have stupid money and can afford a watch that expensive every year, you're essentially buying a luxury, jewelry item that will be worthless in just a few years. I think where Apple has landed is a moderately priced device that can easily be customized up or down via the accessories. Sport band for the fitness minded person and Hermes bands for the person who has money to burn.

So now if I buy a new Watch to go with my original stainless link band I'll have to get a Hermes Watch. Cool!

Yes, Apple are convincing me to stop wearing/buying an Apple Watch, or to just get the SE next with one basic band and wear it until it completely dies. I don't know why, but when I got the first Apple Watch, I legit thought they'd keep offering battery replacements and keep letting you use it on newer and newer iPhones, as it was almost completely reliant upon the iPhone at first. To be fair, you can still pair an original Watch with a modern iPhone.

Oh believe me they accept it - they just don’t want us as customers. Part of their elitism, they only want certain people to have their product. No petit homme…I have a Hermes AW because I like the elegant face and band designs. The snobbery, they can shove it.
You do realize we're talking about Apple here, right? 😆 Not Carhartt or Wrangler or John Deere. I'd be willing to bet there are plenty of petit homme walking their halls, I've never equated Apple with a macho corporate culture.

Ooh the Volt Splash Nike Sport Band is super cool looking.

If I had an ultra all I would want would be a matching metal band. The fruity colored plastic looking ones they’ve made for it thus far couldn’t look more odd to me…. But then again I’d never spend the insane money Apple charges for their bands when so many third parties make way nicer bands at a tenth of the cost

I tried using the stainless steel Milanese loop with an AWU and the color contrast looked horrible. I couldn’t take it lol
Yeah I tried it too, as well as the link bracelet. It’s nice that there’s finally plain black bands for Ultra, plus the white ocean band released last year. It’s annoying when they omit neutral options. The band I mentioned above is new and different though, and should be a closer match.

My wife has a Series 8 which is a 45mm. The new Series 10 is a 46. Would the bands for the 45mm fit the 46mm?
Yes all the older bands still work with their respective new sizes so 45mm bands fit 46mm Series 10.

Actually, original response and mine were talking about Hermes. Hermes decides which bands to create. I strongly doubt Apple has any influence on that.

New Link Bracelet has an option that's color matched to natural titanium like AWU. Otherwise, Nomad has an excellent titanium band. Both are ridiculously expensive, though.

I think there's a mistake in the post where the Trail Loop colors list was combined with the Alpine Loop colors list (there are too many right now, and Trail Loop is missing altogether)
Yep, that was the first thing I spotted.

Second was that Apple released all those new bands/colors, and yet failed to make even a single one in Fuchsia to match one of the new case colors.
