Have they increased the speed of receiving email on devices I.e. iPad / iPhone? Or is it just the speed of the Mobile Me web browser

Rules are super limited!! Boo!!

I now have the new UI and features.

The button styles, scrollbars .. everything is completely different from both Mac OS X and the rest of MobileMe.

It is fast though.

The look & feel, setting and especially icons feel like some sort of brain fart. They are completely different from look and feel of OS X. Shouldn't MobileMe experience on web follow as closely as possible the experience on Mac OS X? Honestly, wide screen layout is good idea but should be optional especially on web since you might be accessing your mail on any random computer. The rest of the new look makes no sense.

Anyone else not heard anything from Apple? I signed up the a couple of hours after we were able to but nothing :(

I've heard you don't get in to beta yet if you are using server side junk mail filtering. I don't know if its true but might explain why some are getting in sooner then others.

I'd like them to let me check my own mobileme account on someone else's iPhone. Instead of showing me the page in mobile safari that says to use the app....

For anyone who is using the beta - does Apple support domains for email in the new version? I'd so like to dump google's label shenanigans for real email folders. I didn't see it listed on Apple's site, but am hoping it's an undocumented feature.

UPDATE: Took a few days, but I finally got into the beta. Not bad, but no personal domains. *sigh*

Got my invite today.

Went to set up a few rules....

But it seems like they don't actually apply, unless I'm missing something. :(

I was added today too, so I suspect most people are. I'm impressed with the new message editor among other things. Does anybody know whether you can view full headers?

Curious note about scroll bars: there are no arrow buttons. Moving away from point & click UI decisions and instead making use of touching, dragging and swiping interaction?

I like it overall and think it's almost on par with the other services out there, but it's still as slow as the regular one that I have. There are server lags that require a lot of patience. The real gripe is that I can't get the settings button to give me the drop down menu 80% of the time. It either never appears or appears for a second and then goes away again. But I guess this is a Beta version...

It's a beta, so they would like you to report issues. In the far left hand pane, down at the bottom, click the feedback link* and send them your gripes. Beta teams love to hear about this stuff, it's how it gets fixed.

* BTW, I had to disable pop-up blocking to get the feedback link to work (which, in a bit of irony, I reported as a bug). :)

I had the same problem! I'll have to try the pop-up blocker as I didn't think of it. Thanks!
