Probably never. Thus this update seems to be just cosmetics for something I never use anyway. I'd use it a lot more if it included iMessage but can't see that ever happening.

they already have cloud messaging support, shame they don't include it web or app based for PC

When Apple gets something right, most of us are ready to give them the flowers they deserve. Unfortunately, lately many of those “flowers” have gone unused because those instances have become less frequent. Now pushing that momentarily negativity aside, I applaud Apple for finally getting around to modernizing their clunky-looking iCloud website.

This new design looks fine, I rarely use the web interface at all, so it doesn’t have much impact for me. I just want the ability to access Safari bookmarks from iCloud.com. THAT’s what I want.

For when you need to access your icloud from a computer that isn’t yours or doesn’t allow you to login to use natively - for example a shared use workstation like a public computer or managed work computer.

Now Apple needs to update its iCloud Drive. Make it as an Dropbox alternative and update and redesign the Mail App on both devices. Then their job will be well done.

What does Dropbox do that iCloud Drive does not?

reminds me of Windows 8 with its layout and "Tiles". Funny how they rolled this design out the same day Windows 8 turned 10.

It does look nice. I wish there were a way to remove the first tile which tells me what my name is, my email address and what kind of iCloud account I have which is information I already know. Perhaps they will tweak it in the future. A weather tile would be nice in place of the first tile.

I really hope this isn't just a polished graphical update. But also internal upgrades, as I use iCloud for downloading my photos for local backup. And the existing iCloud webpage is not very good.

• It only allows for max 1.000 photos for download at a time
• It screws with file creation date, and changes the original photo's file creation date to the download date
  • Stop messing with the meta data, please..... and let us download the untouched photofile.

What does Dropbox do that iCloud Drive does not?

Maybe it does not have such basic functionality as searching for files? At work, I have a computer with windows and I used to use iDrive, but the lack of file search when you have several thousand files makes it impossible to use this application.

you wouldn't.

i use it because i have a Windows PC. if i had a Mac i wouldn't use it. don't use it on my iPhone or iPad.

Very refreshing and different honestly. Well thought out.

But they also need to revamp Notes and Mail entirely. They look different, behave differently and have different writing designs than the apps.
