Apple today updated the Apple Invites app, introducing a new widget that can be added to the Home Screen. Apple says that the widget can be used to count down to your next event.

After updating to the latest version of the Apple Invites app, you can add the new widget to your Home Screen by long pressing, tapping on Edit, and then choosing the "Add Widget" option.

There are three widget sizes, including small, medium, and large. The widgets are all the same, and are designed to tell you how many days there are remaining until an upcoming event.

Tapping on a created event opens up the Invites app where you can see more information about it.

Apple introduced the Invites app back in February, and it has received a few updates since then. Invites is an event planning app that supports creating custom invitations with unique background images, fonts, and relevant information like directions and weather.

Invites is free to download, but it is an iCloud+ service, which means an iCloud+ subscription is needed to create an event. iCloud+ is Apple's paid iCloud storage upgrade option, with plans starting at $0.99 per month.

The Invites app can be downloaded from the App Store for free. [Direct Link]

Stuffed full of Apple Products doing the job well. Will replace Apple products as needed, not before. Simple truth, clearly defining Needs vs Wants. The Wants have to go.

Apple events are boring now... Pre-recorded with minimal innovation, and no suprises. It's been years since I've watched it live. I always just read the MacRumors recaps.
Not boring but it kinda sucks that we already know 99% of what's coming because we read sites like Mac Rumors and others.
I would like to be surprised for once...
At least NOBODY knows what the new AirPods are going to look like and I'm excited about that...

I'm getting old. I downloaded the app so I could have the countdown widget (yes, I am a gadget geek) & can't figure out how to add that specific event. My only option is to create an event.
Yeah I tried the same. I think they just made an event themselves and used that. I was looking on Apple’s site for a link and didn’t anything there either.

Liquid Glass is like Aqua from 25 years ago. The iPhone looks the same as it did 6 years ago and the Apple Watch Ultra will have an extra 1mm of screen. The AirPods are probably going to be similar and the HomePod, without complete Apple Intelligente is not going to be a replacement for Alexa Devices...
Awe... Awful

They should stop using glass on the back so they don’t break when you drop them. Awe dropping is the problem not the thing to celebrate unless you are Apple making money off replacement phones.

Edit. Add Widget. Scroll down to Invites.

it will automatically create a widget for the closest event.

Get out of Edit. Long-press on the widget you just created.

Tap Edit Widget.
