Used this for my 1 year old birthday. Multiple people had issues with it. Some said they didn't receive or remembered receiving but couldn't find after the fact. Needs to function more like paperless post imo.

While your comment is 100% true, I also feel that my edit is every bit as true

True! I hate the stuff that is iOS specific (invite app working properly, shared photo albums, etc.). Obviously Apple wants you in their eco system, but there is always that one android friend.

tried using this one time and it was an absolute disaster. anyone without an iPhone was screwed over, people with an iPhone didnt have the app and struggled with it, when it is one or two people wit the problem it is on them, but when it is 21/28 people having problems it is the apps fault

We had the exact same issue. Complete waste of time and a embarrassment.

This app is useless in its current form. I deleted the app. I used it for the first time a week ago and 95% of the invited guests were complaining. It was embarrassing.

Apple really needs to be careful with this. It’s stuff like this that gave Google a bad reputation. Apple needs to be more selective about what they release and be sure it works.

The last several years of their software gives me the impression that it’s all projects to use Swift UI and Catalyst and all the other half baked ideas they want to push, rather than because it solves a need users have.

I have used this app to send invites to non-iOS users, iOS users who don’t have the app installed, and others who have the app installed, and the results have been successful. I appreciate the app.

I would love to use this but when I tried it had a big flaw: if you invite someone who used to but no longer uses their Apple account, they get stuck in a loop having to log in. They can’t even view the invite details.

There’s too much friction for the people on the receiving end.

I would love an alternative to E-vite but the burden it puts on your invitees is too much.

I'm in the same boat as many people here. When it got released I used it for one of my kids' birthdayparty and invited 25ish people. It gave problems for at least half of them. And thus the app got deleted. That's the problem for stuff like this, people give it one shot max and if it misses...

I always wonder if the devs of things like this app, use it themselves. Even as a programmer at Apple I'd imagine you'd have some friends with android or that don't have the app installed. Do they realise it doesn't work decently? Or don't they care? Or... ?
