Hi All

This is a post regarding the upcoming iPad 2 release in Australia on March 25, 2011. Today, Apple Officially announced the pricing for Australia, care of this Press Release - http://www.apple.com/au/pr/library/2011/03/22ipad.html

Pricing:-

In Australia, iPad 2 with Wi-Fi will be available for a recommended retail price (RRP) of A$579 inc GST for the 16GB model, A$689 inc GST for the 32GB model, A$799 inc GST the 64GB model. iPad 2 with Wi-Fi + 3G will be available for a RRP of A$729 inc GST for the 16GB model, A$839 inc GST for the 32GB model and A$949 inc GST for the 64GB model.

The Smart Cover is available in a range of colours in vibrant polyurethane for A$45 inc GST or rich leather for A$79 inc GST. Well, I'm going for the 64GB Black with a Black / Grey Leather SmartCover
 
So I just saw on the Morning Show that there are people already lining up in Sydney.

Anyone lining up at the Perth Apple Store yet?
 
Also waiting to order online :p I live way too far away from an Apple store to even think about lining up :p

Yeah I would've thought that ordering within the first minute of launch would get us a delivery closer than a month away, hopefully we will see that shipping date move forward. Otherwise I'll try my luck at a local Apple reseller (I'm not in a city with an official store) when they get stock in and cancel my online order.
 
Wait time is a bit poor. Makes me wish I could get some sleep back. Will also be checking resellers tomorrow if I can get a chance, otherwise will be waiting.
 
You'd be bummed right now if you'd got up at 1am to place your order...still not available to purchase...just that brief window around 12.25am.

Can't imagine they'd restrict numbers sold via online, just push out delivery times instead.

It has to do with the demand worldwide and not just Australia. It also shows that in every online Apple Store :)
 
Yep i stayed up, Cause i am over in WA i was able to order at 10pm! iPad 2 ordered and casing for it.

LoL they shipped the case already but not the ipad ah well
