Ha - just received confirmation of my smart cover shipping and will receive it next Tuesday....went back onto the website and smart covers are still reported to ship out in 3-4 weeks....
This makes me hopeful that my ipad 2 will arrive before the suggested 21/04 ...

I bought a Verizon 64GB Black on launch day. My Black AT&T 64GB arrived on Wednesday. My Verizon one goes back to Apple today.
Wow that sucks you had to wait and then just picked it up so easily somewhere else! I finished work at 5:30, drove to my local JB HiFi at Miranda about 5:45 and walked out 5 mins later with exactly what i wanted, 16GB Wifi in white and a black leather smart cover. Thanks to home sharing and MyWi/Hotspot I've saved myself a lot of money!
Had ordered online as a contingency but cancelled it last night. wouldn't let me cancel the blue poly smart cover I ordered but I'm happy to have a second

I got it from a department store, so I don't think they will have as generous return policies as Apple store :/ I'll just sell it on eBay or something I guess

I rang around town yesterday but I only live in a small town and no one sells them. However my dad was going to the next town over today so I made a quick call and Target put aside the one I wanted. Did anyone order an iPad 2 dock or the HDMI adapter and had them ship yet? Delivery times are listed as a few weeks but so are smart covers of which the one I ordered on Friday morning had shipped by the time I got home from work and tried cancelling it as I'd already got one, so I'm wondering if docks and adapters are the same as covers....?

I ordered 30 minutes before the official, 1am, online launch on March 25th. Immediately I got: Ships 15/4, Delivers 21/4.
Earlier today my credit card got charged and the status on the Order Status page changed to Prepared for Shipment.
So the rumour: "other customers have reported that their orders shipped significantly faster than the stated timeframe" could be well true.
Now waiting for the email saying "Your order has shipped"
