There is no Ipad 7" model.
I really doubt there will be anyway the best people can hope for is Ipad 2's being sold a little cheaper when Ipad 3 is released.
Maybe have to wait another year or two for the 7" iPad.

Gottheil went out on a smaller limb for another pair of predictions, saying that he expects Apple to roll out a smaller 7-in. iPad -- though not at the upcoming event -- and perhaps tout a specially-designed wireless keyboard-case accessory for its tablet.

This made me laugh. At first I was kind of surprised by this post...like, HOW CAN THEY NOT KNOW THIS?!?! Then I remembered that most people probably don't have MacRumors bookmarked between "Weather" and "Banking".

Maybe if your house is in a hollow tree or giant mushroom. I take mine out of the house every day and from the number of people I see with iPads daily, I'm not the only one.
You must live in an extremely safe city then. Sitting in public with a shiny slab of expensive aluminium just screams out to muggers "come get me!".
Apple is the very best at Marketing. This is a perfect example. They leak a rumor about a 7 inch iPad, through some tech sites, and watch. If there is a great interest in it, they build it. If its not a huge hit, they don't. Nothing like building a product that won't sell.. Apple does not do that. They keep everything a secret for a reason.
they're not going to build a 7 inch tablet
if you want something portable use your phone
if you want a sit down tablet use your ipad
there's no point to make ipads in increments of every inch or two and create supply chain nightmares, tons of useless inventory, just to satisfy a handful of idiots
