I actually went to the Apple store since it was on my way to lunch and took a look. The new Silicone cases are vastly improved in every way. Feels really good in the hand, the build quality is better -- the seam on the side is less prominent. I think this is going to be a more popular choice this year.

Never use a silicone before, but the good reviews are so tempting!

I use hand cream all the time. That makes my case oily and i used to clean it with alcohol
I can't do this with the silicone case, right?!

wonder, if it will chip around the bottom. My red iphone 6 case, has chip marks at the bottom, where the plastic part of the case is showing...I hope this one doesn't have that problem.

I'd be interested in finding out if this happens with this version of the silicone cases as well. This was the reason I went leather for my 6s.

Here's another quick video showcasing both the leather and the silicone!

Strangely this time the only leather one that looks appealing is the Saddle Brown but I dunno, with each day these "new" and "improved" silicone cases look really nice!

I quite fancy one of these cases for my Gold 6S+, but I always worry about the open section at the bottom and the (lack of) protection if it should land on the bottom edge.

Can anyone offer any advice on the safety of the case?

Ta.

I slipped exiting a cab and the phone flew out of my hand. The leather was scuffed a little but the phone itself was not affected one bit. I don't ever leave the house naked.

Picked up the white silicone, red silicone and saddle brown leather cases today.

Very impressed with how amazing the silicone cases feel.

Bonus picture comparing the red silicone case to last year's red leather case.

This thread has solidified that I want a silicone case. Im picking between stone, lavender, and turquoise but I'm gonna wait until I see them in person! Sucks that the nearest Apple Store is almost 2 hours away

I got a Lavender case in and expecting my Charcoal Gray any day now.

I ordered the lavender case but was dissapointed with it. It looked darker and nicer online, but in person, you it doesn't really look lacender to me, it's too light. Only the Apple logo looks the way I thought the entire case would look as far as color goes. How do you feel about yoir lavender case?

Keep in mind that the silicone case is or to me feels slightly thicker than the leather case - I've been using the saddle brown leather case all week and def feels slimmer than the new silicone case. Loving how the saddle brown is already started to age.

It was returned. The color was too muted.

Bought 3 silicone and one leather case - not particularly liking any of them. The silicone cases feel too bulky and come out in front of the screen too much - when you look at the screen, for me, it creates an odd extra border i don't like, a nasty sort of bumper. I also don't care for it to pop out from the screen because the screens do not get scratched when you lay face down anyway, I should know, i've been using naked iPhones since 2007! So from a feel, look and usability view this front lip is bad in everyway - you lose the best thing about the iPhone 6 design which is the curved edges to run your thumb from when you're swiping from off screen.

I do like the feel of the slicone and the extra grip it provides, plus the fact it covers up the ugly back of the 6 design and those antenna lines. I wish Apple had done a "slim" case though, one that sits closer to the body, flush with the protruding camera on the back and ends on the front stop at the part where the metal ends and the front screen colour starts (and even tapers into it)

Then id love the colours, the feel of the materials and the minimal Apple logo on the back.

Ah well, I guess I can dream about that like I can dream about a super powerful flagship 4" iPhone that has the same specs as the 5.5" phablet plus ha!

What do you think about the leather case in comparison?

Not sure if that was aimed at me or to the thread in general. I find it a bit more subtle, it still wraps around the screen too much and its not quite as grippy as the silicone, but i've got it in the wrong colour I think.

I returned the silicon case last year for 6 plus because it was too sticky so out of my pocket of my jean was too tricky.

How does the white silicon case hold up? I want to get one for my silver iPhone 6s Plus, but I'm afraid it'll constantly look dirty.

Does anyone know if the grey case is any darker than last year's grey? Or is it the same color?

I don't have the pure white, but I have been using an antique white for a week or so and it's holding up great - no chipping or issues with discoloration.

I have a silicone case from 2014 but it's very rubbery/tacky and collects lint. Have they improved it with the latest version?

Quite a difficult question to answer seen as most of us have only had a it a day, but if its comparable to the white smart cover on my iPad Air 2, beyond expectations to be honest. Thats stayed white as can be which I really didn't expect.
