My friend works for o2 and he said that they are Mac Minis powering 30" Pioneer LCDs at 1440X900.

You're kidding, right? These aren't actual phones, they're most likely 30"+ displays that are either running video or a presentation-modified iPhone through its video-out. So here's what you need to do if you really want one:

1)Buy 30"+ flatscreen display
2)Buy presentation-enabled iPhone, or create video of iPhone functions
3)Buy video-out
4)????
5) profit

screw what everyone else said.

1) steal giant iPhone from apple
2 $$$$ PROFIT $$$$

yes i know that when i started this

but how do i make the shell???

The Sydney store has about 6 of them

It's just an industrial LCD hooked up to a windows box with plastic housing that resembles an iPhone.

Get me one and actually they are most likely mac Minis thats what my apple store has

bring a crowbar smash that window open, take the giant phone and run to canada

AT&T might throw them away if they get new ones. I know they threw away the old display iPhones 4gb's. I found all three of them in the dumpster at my local store on july 10th:D

U know the Big "iPhones" playing the demo videos in the front window of the apple store.

OK so I was interested to know where apple got, and where they go after they are done being used.

I wand one soooooooooo bad, you have no idea!!!

Errrr...clearly you didn't.

Apple manufactures these (almost assuredly in-house) and probably won't be too keen on letting them go (to put it in perspective, most of the mannequin you see in stores run ~$700-1K). You're just looking for the "Buy 2 pieces of plywood for $25.00, a mirror, and you'll be able to reflect it" answer, which doesn't exist. If you REALLY wanted one, you'd be making cash offers to the Apple store near you, calling Apple corporate, and be looking for a cheap 30" display....which you're not.
