iPhone Shuffle where you don't pick exactly who you call
iPhone Mini - No screen, but you can always attach one
iPhone - Does everything you would want it to.
So depending on which of these you buy your price will vary.

My question is: Contract with whom? If it's w/ Cingular, I wouldn't have any problem getting this phone. If it's w/ Apple, then I guess I'll have to wait another year.

Keep in mind that these are just guesses. We don't know the feature set, capacity, service provider (if any... there are rumors that you'd slip your SIM card from another provider into it), etc. It might be US$350. It might be US$500. It might be US$129. Maybe it'll be free with any Mac Pro purchase. Maybe it'll come in one color, or three, or have an LED light show under the skin. If it's the candybar form factor we've seen mentioned, with lots of music capability but not much in the way of "smarts", US$250 - US$350 is probably a good guess - with it costing less if the capacity is lower.
The rumors of a smarter version lead me to believe the first one will be relatively cheap (possibly even under $200) with the smart one going for a fair bit more.

This is a crazy thread.. how can anyone even estimate a price for a product we're not even 100% sure is in the works? Even if we agree that it IS in the works and IS coming, we have NO idea what its feature set will be, what it will look like, who will be its carrier.. will it have an apple premium like other apple products? will it be cheaper to get it out there? will it be super high end? will there be more than one version?...literally, it could come in at ANY price set for all we know right now...

For the record, xfiftyfour, I know you can't estimate for a "product we're not even 100% sure is in the works" but notice how I said:
"How much do you guys think the iPhone would cost?"
I know it is only an estimate, but since when was a estimate a crime!
I don't know if you meant to sound a bit rude, but it certainly came off that way. Chill out man.
