Apple Ipod 5th Generation

Any word on when the 5th generation is coming out, I want an Ipod but i don't want to buy to early?

it's not Ipod, it is iPod..

if you want one, go get it.. its been 2 months or so, which means that we'll not see anything like 5th gen soon.. maybe iPod 4G RevB (which I'm waiting for) but even that may take time too..

P.S. I'm expecting 30gb and 60gb models in revB..

There might be a minor size bump in there, or a functionality update, but that is a good point, Apple has dramatically slowed the updates to the iPod line. I think that it is more a matter of brand association lately. They advertised it so much that they didn't want to change it at all and risk losing that recognition factor. Also, the 3rd gen was considered by many to be a far more elegant solution, with the 4th gen being a step back in design. Maybe they'll update it soon because of that...

I cant agree with that.. I had a chance to use iPod 4G for a week or so and as a iPod 2G user, I liked it. its like clicking style in 2G but now all the buttongs are designed to be "all-in-one"

after a year or so with my 3G iPod, I could hardly get used to where those 4 buttons are, but even that iPod 4G wasnt mine, it was like an "old friend" and I knew where everything was without taking it from its bag..

They just released new iPods. Don't expect new ones for awhile. The most you might get is a 4th Gen 60GB one. It might have some new features, but they may just be waiting for a significant supply of them. Who knows. You want a 20GB model, buy it now. You want a 60GB model, wait a bit.

5th Gen probably won't be until sometime next year, with maybe some size bumps along the way.

he is probably talking about revisions.. you know, 3rd gen iPod was 10-15-30gb at the first release, then they got 10-20-40gb revision and in the revC they were 15-20-40gb..

as I said before, iPod will probably be 30-60 for the revB and 40-60 in revC.. or who knows..
