My wife's iphone 4s would occasionally run down to almost zero power in a few hours (and wasnt being used). A couple of time it froze and needed a reset. It also felt warm to the touch on the backside. We took it to an apple store, they ran a few diagnostics and said we don't see anything obvious but something is not quite right so we need to replace this phone. That is how you keep customers coming back.
