You can still buy shows and movies, it’s just moving.Poor move.
For apps I used it a lot and tracked prices. Nowadays I seldom purchase and app because everything is “subscription” and gazillion ads to keep playin, even I pay I still have to watch ads! Like in Planta vs zombies.
Now for show… poor decision…
Depends on the platform of course but sure maybe iTunes Store on iOS and iPadOS should merge with Apple Music app like it does on macOS. I’m not even sure it is possible to buy music on tvOS and I know iTunes has zero presence anywhere on visionOS including the ability to buy music on that platform which I find unfortunate. My question is, why do the iTunes apps still exist?
Tv shows and movies moved to the tv app
To buy music, you still need to use iTunes
Why though? Why not have the music store built into the music app?
It’s so strange. I don’t understand why iTunes, in general still exists as a brand
I received this email, but couldn't believe that Apple would send me a PDF attachment and expect me to open it.
It kind of makes you wonder whether Apple may ditch the music store altogether in future, with Apple Music being your only option. I was really disappointed when Apple Music got lossless but iTunes did not.Depends on the platform of course but sure maybe iTunes Store on iOS and iPadOS should merge with Apple Music app like it does on macOS. You are not alone. That is the only way I purchase digital music, movies and TV Shows. I don't do subscriptions.(for those 6 of us remaining that still buy most of their movies and tv on iTunes and refuse to move to on demand streaming)
I miss the former App wishlist, it was handy for collecting some apps when I was unable to afford them. Several audio apps for $20+ that I’d buy once I got a gift card in high school. And still no AppStore wishlist lmao.
I can’t believe those apps are still around, let alone the inability to uninstall from my TV.Does this mean the Movies and TV Show apps that haven’t worked in 3 year will finally be remove from Apple TV?
The cheap charts app is much better anyway (for those 6 of us remaining that still buy most of their movies and tv on iTunes and refuse to move to on demand streaming)
I popped on to mention CheapCharts, it’s nice others are making use of it. I definitely recommend it.Y'all, I recommend the Cheap Charts app for tracking your wishlist and prices! Use Sign in with Apple for an easy set up.
My older cars infotainment needs iTunes with 1 song on it for it to allow any spotify or streaming, weird but charming bug 🙂My question is, why do the iTunes apps still exist?

Your argument is really going to be 'Qobuz' 🤣 Let's compare the number of users on each platform. And artists/labels aren't paid a flat percentage of your subscription, it's based on the amount of music you stream. If you buy the song the label only gets paid once, vs perpetually for a streamed song.Qobuz has offered this option since forever. If record labels and recording artists have issues with it, that'd be news to me. And you still need a Qobuz subscription to take advantage of it, so streaming revenue is in no way affected except maybe boosted (by people signing up to take advantage of the feature).
Number, schmumber. The business model works and is scalable.Your argument is really going to be 'Qobuz' 🤣 Let's compare the number of users on each platform. I don't know anybody that buys CDs/vinyl for anything other than a thing to display. Vinyl seems to be the exception where a lot more people I know will buy it and actually play it, but those people are still streaming those artists massively. I do acknowledge however that this might be a cultural difference.Number, schmumber. The business model works and is scalable.
While your point about streaming revenue for artists is valid, I was referring to revenue for the platform, not the artists/labels. Still, the cut the artists/labels receive from the purchase of albums would take thousands of streams (for which they receive between $0.006 to $0.009 per stream on Apple Music) to reach. Taking your argument to its logical conclusion, labels/artists would never release vinyl discs and CDs because that would eat into their streaming revenue. And yet they do.
Same here. Which is why I’m checking on this site!!!!!!!😂I received this email, but couldn't believe that Apple would send me a PDF attachment and expect me to open it.
😂This is a huge change for Apple. Normally they just remove it and let the people who still use the feature spend hours trying to figure out why it's no longer working.
True. It’s unfortunate they don’t do apps except website. No way to get emails just for apps on website.Y'all, I recommend the Cheap Charts app for tracking your wishlist and prices! Use Sign in with Apple for an easy set up.
I'm like 99% sure this used to exist and at some point along the line they killed it off. Weird. And still no AppStore wishlist lmao.
