I was wrong. Damn.

Yeah I screwed up, definitely misheard something during the keynote. My bad, don't listen to me, LOL. 🙂
No worries. Although you didn't hear it, it is still possible that it has at least 3GB. 🙂

We won't know until someone tears it down!

Is it not possible to benchmark it on a display unit? Might be a silly thing to ask...

I'd love 4, but I'm expecting 3gb for 10.5". The iphone 7 plus has 3gb so if it's less than that I might have to cancel and get the 12.9".

10.5, 512gb and cell/WiFi in space grey (I like the black face so no choice) $1629 in Australia plus $129 AppleCare. Not cheap, but I think this model will last equally as long as my current iPad 3 and possibly longer. I'm giving it a couple of months (if I can hang out that long😛) to see if there are any teething problems before purchasing. Really happy with the specs for my use so good on :apple:.

Thank you to pulpconselor the OP for starting a thread that proved generally truthful and was entertaining and kept the excitement rolling along.

Lol ask Apple why.

Also disappointing that there's still no colours for 12.9" accessories. Still just white and grey smart covers and cases.

They do that to the laptop as well. No rose pink for MacBook Pro 15" but the lower end one.

I wonder if it is possible to use the iPad's space as to store photos from a SD card

This will change my perception of the iPad greatly!

The 10.5" is about 30g heavier.

Apple has removed the 9.7" tech specs from their website is there anyway anyone has the tech specs of the 9.7" iPad Pro, like the dimensions and the weight? Would like to do a side by side comparison of the 9.7" and the 10.5" iPP. Can anyone put the Apple tech specs link for the 9.7" iPP ?

I wonder if people here are ok ? with the extra weight that the 10.5" carries when compared to the 9.7" iPad Pro ? Any thoughts on that ?

iPad Air vs iPad Air 2. Honestly, I find the 30g or so weight difference fairly negligible since it's a device you tend to hold with both hands anyway (or at least prop up on/against a surface)

Yeah but the 9.7" iPad Pro weight was so perfect it was nice and sleek and thin and all of that ! I wonder why the 10.5" iPP weighs more is it because of the extra screen size ?
