Sent my MBP back because of a scratch. They made it sound like as soon as the MBP is in FedEx's hands they'd ship my new one. Now, they are telling me it wont be here until the 27th-ISH. I have to leave for college on the 29th.

LIES I TELL YOU...

On a more logical note: I can actually understand the delay. I mean, aren't there a shortage of MBP's in the US anyway? No store around here (New Jersey) or Chicago has them I don't think.

Apple doesn't lie...what you have to realize is there is a shortage of MBP's and the ship date may change. Besides, it's just an estimate.

And ya there was a scratch on the inner case from next to the iSight to an inch on the screen. Also, there was a bad scuff on the exterior.

Yes, lies indeed! I was promised a replacement three weeks ago, but when it hadn't happened after a week I just returned the defective one for a refund. Let's hope this is all for a reason!

You probably just got that statement from an uninformed Apple rep who didn't intend it as a promise.
