Apple today released Mac OS X v10.6.7 Supplemental Update for 13" MacBook Air (Late 2010), a small software update specifically targeting Apple's new 13-inch MacBook Air and issues with the system freezing while iTunes is in use.
This update addresses an issue that makes the system unresponsive when using iTunes.

It is recommended for all 13" MacBook Air (Late 2010) users running Mac OS X v10.6.7.
The update weighs in at 461 KB and specifically requires a Late 2010 13-inch MacBook Air running the latest Mac OS X 10.6.7 Build 10J869.

The system freezing issue has been reported by a significant number of users in Apple's discussion forums and in our own forums.

The problem is rampant on 11" models too (according to a google search). Where's that update??

Finally

Phew. This has been driving me crazy. Haven't been listening to music for over a week because I always had to force-shutdown every time iTunes booted.

I don't have this problem on my late 2010 13" MBA, but I have another problem: when listening radio with iTunes and internet disconnects, iTunes freezes. I know it's off topic, but it drives me crazy. Looks like iTunes is unable to re-buffer the stream...

Can someone dissect this update and find out which file (can't be more than one) that has changed?

Included in the update are:

/System/Library/Extensions/AppleUpstreamUserClient.kext (version 3.5.7, note on my 10.6.7 system version 3.5.4)
/System/Library/Extensions/AudioAUUC.kext (version 1.57, note on my 10.6.7 system version 1.54)

Glad they came out with fix. Just did the update.
I bought 13" MBA about 3 weeks ago and it has happened about 5 times since then. Very frustrating. I thought it was Jailbreak or other phone issues not MBA. I will keep you posted on results...

Apple needs to address the lack of SandyBridge CPU's in the MBA
Which they cannot do in the form of a software update.

Apple will release Sandy Bridge MacBook Airs when they feel it is time, not you. If you want to do something about it, get on the Apple Board of Directors and fire Steve Jobs.

Complaining here will get you nowhere.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; da-dk) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8F190 Safari/6533.18.5)

Haha. Not gonna happen. Good one though.

What hanging issue? This is the first I've heard of it. I've never experienced it myself.
The original post links to a support forum thread that discusses the issue. Not everyone who owns this system sees the problem.

Go ahead and install the update, but don't expect to see anything change.
