Hello!

I've just got home after upgrading on the iUP in the UK.

Just thought I would share something I learnt today. When you do your upgrade you need to make sure that you use the same ID as when you enrolled. I had my driving licence with me when I went to the store and it kept saying my details could not be found. Apparently I used my passport to enrol and they needed that to do the upgrade! Luckily I managed to get hold of my passport and when they used that it worked fine!

The store said its in the terms and conditions, Im checking them now!

I haven't read this anywhere on any communication from Apple, all my emails say just take photo ID. In hindsight I should have just taken both, but there you go!

Hopefully this will be useful to someone.

Thanks

Nice to know that just a pity they keep turning me down, will try next year and will make a mental note for what ID I used if i am ever successful!

I used Apple.com to do an early iUP upgrade. They asked my SSN twice along with home address. Took me 5 minutes. (The in store iUP signup in May 2016 took me 2 hours). lol.

I did it at the store and don’t think it took me more than 5 mins.
