Apple has teamed up with accessory makers to offer chargers, stands, power banks, cables, and more in bright color options like blue, pink, and teal. The splash of color arrives in time for summer in the U.S. and many other countries.

The new color options are available exclusively from Apple, both online and for in-store pickup.

Notably, one of the accessories added to Apple's online store is the PopSockets Low-Pro, which is the thinnest version of the popular accessory ever. Priced at $39.95 in the U.S., the MagSafe-compatible accessory continues to function as both an iPhone grip and a stand, except this version has a thickness of just 2.5mm.

Other participating brands include Belkin, Herschel, Mophie, Nimble, Scosche, and Twelve South.

Here are some examples:Apple also began selling some other accessories through its online store that are not part of this seasonal color refresh, including Logitech's MX Master 4 mouse, Nimble's Podium 3-in-1 wireless charger, Twelve South's PowerBug charger (with Qi 2.2 support), and more, with all of the latest additions listed on Apple's New Product Arrivals page.

The Pop Socket looks nice. I wonder if it does pass through charging. If it does, it might give the Oh Snap grip I've been using for years a run for its money. The Snap grip looks very similar but without the outer ring. The only bad thing about the Snap grip is the vertical stand is a little unstable. I wonder how the Pop Socket does in that regard. I also wonder about any weight difference. With my iPhone Air, I can feel every gram.😆

Edit-
I found out it does do pass-through charging, which is great. But what may be the dealbreaker is I read that the outside magnet is stronger than the inside magnet, which means when you're using a MagSafe charger and remove your phone, the grip will remain attached to the charger unless you're very careful. It also weighs several grams more than the Snap grip, which is the trade off for having the ring stand which is supposedly a more stable stand in the vertical position, and it isn't limited to just a couple viewing angles. I don't care much about more viewing angles, but I do care about weight (though the difference will probably be negligible) and stability. I'll have to test it in person to see if I like the trade offs, and see how easy it is to use one-handed compared to the Snap grip. Anyway, it's nice to have a new option. Snap grip was to me the only game in town for a long time.

I am also wondering if the Pop Socket has pass through charging.

Edit: From Apples site...
PopSockets magnetic phone grip & stand securely attaches to any MagSafe compatible case.
At just 2.5mm thin, it provides an ultra-slim profile with charge through capability*.
* Charger-dependent compatibility and performance.

I'm tempted to buy one of the AirPods charms from Herschel for my girlfriend. She's obsessed with pastel so one of those would be perfect.

I get it that women overwhelmingly buy crossbody slings, but I require them because I cannot kneel down or bend to pickup without severe pain.

And I am going to make this abundantly clear: I AM TIRED OF SKY BLUE AND PINK.

I’m right there with you on both accounts!

I'm really surprised you're having a hard time with finding some less colorful ones. Check out the bags on Amazon under "switch 2 crossbody sling," or similar. Black is the default, and the "switch 2" search term makes them just big enough for small tablets or netbooks without being a backpack.

I'm kind of glad I have no clue what a PopSocket is.
They can be handy! I was a very late adaptor, but the $3 clearance pricing sucked me in a few years ago. (still rocking that Depression era mindset from my elders) Provides a good two finger grip on a slippery phone.

I especially like the little mounts for them on a car dash. Can usually find a spot that is readable, and maybe mounted a little higher so in the line of vision.

I wonder how easy these new shallow ones are to pop? Maybe better for longer fingernails? I was worried about the thickness of my older ones preventing wireless charging, but it turned out not to be an issue with my $5 AmzBasic stand.

No, I am upset that yet again Apple brought a cool product into the store from a third party that looks unique but it is in the stupidest colors. Sky Blue and Pink are not remotely what I am interested in, but I get it. It's mostly bought by women and those two colors work in that space.

It's why the MacBook Pro is still only Black or Silver.

Not planning to get any of the new accessories but good to have mores color choices.
Yes. Pink and Blue. Boy and Girl. Been seein them since I was a kid. Kinda want a primary color or secondary. Yellow. RED. Green. Purple. ORANGE.

Nope. Pink. Blue.

There are many alternatives. Just look around.
For example this thing
achieves much the same goal.
I find it useful when traveling if I'm going to be taking lots of photos.
