Apple just snuck out another update to fix yesterdays flawed update.

Apple actually released Build 17B1003 yesterday afternoon (PST), not today. It apparently does fix the file sharing issue as reported by other MacRumors contributors (it was not relevant to my environment).

That's right, 'Snuck' is the correct word for what they just did. It's clear that it's a remediated patch but Apple hasn't differentiated this in the link.

Yep. I thought it was a glitch with my unsupported Mac, but it's with all my 10.13 Macs.

Mine doesn’t show it installed twice. But I know I did and I know I have the latest one installed. Weird

It also doesn't honor the "update later" option. When the notification popped up a couple days ago, I didn't know what it was, so I clicked "update later." Maybe 10 seconds later, I get an "update installed successfully" message. (Can't really blame Apple; just shows how serious this mess was.)
