apple keyboard number pad doesnt work

Help! My applekeyboard number pad doesnt work on windows via bootcamp (works fine on osx 10.5.3), I have the latest firmware for the keyboard on macos and have checked the software update on windows but nothing fixes it, what can I do?

Hit the "Clear" key (it's the same as the NumLock key on a PC keyboard).

Confirmed. That's what you need to do. Even on my Microsoft keyboard I have to hit the numlock key to use the numeric keypad as a number pad.

On PC's, there is a setting in the BIOS to set the numlock to be either on or off at startup. Since Apple doesn't use a BIOS, there's no way to toggle this to be the default.

Wow, I can't believe the solution to this problem was so simple. I never would have thought of that.
