Why there is no badge for the perfect year? I've close all of my rings for the entire year in 2017 and 2018 and there is no badge for that, while there are many for earth day, national parks day etc. but those are way easier to get.

For people like me who never knew what it is like to cope with life without a Watch/Phone/Tablet then it’s great to be told not just how and what to think but how to move my physical self as well. Can you just imagine what it was like in those dark olden days of Pre-2000 (was it?) when you had to use your actual brain (whatever that is) to do all that? No thank you.

Now, Mr Watch! What do I do now? Read Facebook? Check! Share a meme?. Yup! Move my arms and legs 10000 times today? Gosh Well, I’ll try!. Make a decision on my own?. Now hang on. I never said I’d commit myself that far!

30 minutes, wow! one reaaon more to buy this fitness gadget

So I gather you don’t own an Apple Watch? Because if you did, you'd realize it’s far more than just a ‘gadget’. In terms of the health aspects and how the Apple has expanded the fitness capabilities with different workout segments, it’s more like a health companion tool that customizes to everyone differently.

Except, I never mentioned anything about them being ‘challenging’ (Nor was that my point), I mentioned that I find them ‘addictive’ to actually complete, mainly on the competition side of things for my own satisfaction. Either way, what’s not challenging to you might be for someone else, which you didn’t take into consideration.
Sure. Earning digital not worth anything medal is a priority. Sorry. A challenge. LMAO

Who said it was a priority? I don’t think anyone who completes these monthly challenges is looking for a ‘medal’ of anything, it’s just the fact that they completed something to _better_ themselves, not for the satisfaction of receiving a digital metal. Perhaps you might have a misunderstanding what the purposes of these digital badges are for.

Yet another one who doesn’t know what an Watch is.
It’s not just a fitness device per se.
I’m disabled and wouldn’t miss my Watch for a day.
And ’s activity graph sucks. Fitbit graphs are way better. Much more detailed and more info you can actually use.
Calories, moving and training. That’s it.

A better idea may be not using and charging your phones and watches for a day.
Yes but how will people value-posture with instagrams and whatever posts about how they're saving the environment by eschewing a straw with their non-gmo fair trade imported soy non fat mocha frappa-macha-latte-iado?

Weird "challenging" is just a concept "addictive" is a physical thing you have to do, but hey if you're happy with being addicted (Apple has addicted you)

Why are people over-interpreting Relentless Power's comment? Activity has some gamification. It's working for Relentless Power. That's all.

Probably because he asked if everyone else was as addicted to completing Apple Watch challenges as he is.

People responded to his question with their opinion(s). It's a forum. That happens from time to time.

It's possible to respond "nah, it's not my cup of tea", "the Apple Watch is too expensive", or "I don't need this".

It's not necessary to insult people in the process.

My wife and I went out to get the National Parks Challenge award last year and we came home with a kitten from our hike out in the woods.

Good times!

I like the badges but they already did Earth Day and it’s not much of a fitness day. There are lots of holidays with better fitness correlation that they could use to add some variety.

Nope.... But whats crazy is when you upgrade, within Health app go to sources and you'll see prior models but if remove them will purge older data

The health app needs to go online and be portable. Everything being hidden in the app is kind of annoying.

That's awesome. I'm currently on a 119 day move streak and i'm going for the 365/500/1000 move goal awards...
438 day streak and getting close to 1000. The gamification totally has me!

I actually sent a letter Tim Cook's email saying how much Apple Health and the Fitness app have helped me. Since August 2017 I've dropped 265+ pounds, from 444 to my last weigh in at 181. Hoping another 15 or so pounds. I've been perfect on my rings going over 1 year now. These challenges always manage to get me going.
Wow! Great job! Keep it up. What differences in your resting heart rate have you seen from the beginning until now?

I actually got robbed of my distance walk/run on Intl. Women’s Day a few weeks back. I’m loyal to Nike run club and completed the run there — didn’t want to use the stock workout app. This has to be an issue for other people too. I know folks are loyal to the Under Armour app or Runtastic and wouldn’t want to log a workout anywhere else but miss out on these achievements. Guess it’s a good problem to have.
This happened to me. I wanted to try out the run club app from nike to help coach me into getting a good running routine, but after a few runs noticed it wouldn't track the same way as the stock health app does so i ditched it

I use the Nike app and it imports my runs into fitness and counts the time JS calories towards my totals for every other award - it would be surprising if it didn’t work for these one off ones. I did check for Woman’s Day but I didn’t run I did something else that day.
