Well, I'm getting bored with this. So I had one look around to look for deals with today being an incentive. Since I saw no attractive BF deal in my area, the bucks will stay in the bank, and I ordered some fine Single Malt Whisky ... That saves a lot of time, and the day as well :)

Not very meaningful on a Mac site, I know ...

So which malt will you be enjoying while using your Apple product(s)?

and no 128GB iphone 6's in sight

That could be the reason there aren't a lot of good deals this year. Could you imagine if they gave $500 off MacBooks, but didn't actually have but a few to sell? They'd get roasted. And we keep hearing all the time there is still a shortage of 6's. I suspect this whole Intel processor glitch messed things up too. They didn't want to have a bunch of "old" versions of stuff hanging around just before the new ones come out, which should have been out by now.

However, there's no excuse for no deals on the mini.

You really should know what you are posting about before making yourself look stupid.

Halloween originated in Europe 100's of years ago.

Umm... Yeah, sure!
Exported to America by the emigrants to be re-importet back to Europe...

You will clearly understand that I meant the way Halloween is 'celebrated' nowadays. With all the commerce, the costumes and the egg-throwing.THAT has most obviously originated in the US and was not seen in (continental) Europe before 15 years ago. And it has nothing to do with the original Halloween from 100's of years ago...

Have a happy day :)

If anyone tries to get the gift card on a item they have already bought and are still in the return period, please post and let us know what they say. Thanks

I took in my iPhone 6 t-mobile 16GB bought last Saturday. Person at door outside said they probably couldn't do it. However person in the store said they would. Mine was unused and had been paid in full (no contract) so might have been a factor. They refunded the amount on to a store gift card and then used that to buy it again, and i had to pay $2.49 in extra tax (8% CA vs 7% PA). And they gave me the $50 iTunes card.

No.
No it is not.
The slang is, " The gift that keeps on giving"... You know, because diseases spread. So, if one person is given it they'll "keep on giving"
Lol, they don't "give back" though.
What would that even mean with regards to disease????
Nice try though.
Apple marketing fail = 0
Your comprehension fail = 1

There are still parts of society that does not strictly obey the exact syntax and wording of MEMEs on the 'net and uses local derivatives.

Both terms are expressive enough to infer STDs. Hell, I have heard of people with STD's called "Discover cards" since you get something back from each use.

We can go on from there but just have a relaxing herbal tea and enjoy riding off the turkey coma today.

GlenDronach Allardice
Aged 18 Years
Highland Single Malt
Scotch Whisky

I'm not a connoiseur, and I never had that one, so I'm curious to see what it brings.
I'm also very curious to see what information is on the bottle ... as I saw on Wikipedia that that distiller has been mothballed for a while ... so, where does the whisky come from? So there is a logical gap I need to examine ... that alone is already exciting :)

As to the Apple product ... maybe the Apple TV to stream Dave Brubeck's Quartet over a BD player while enjoying the flame of german wood in a french cast iron stove while no one else is in the house, with one, and one only glass of this ... or just skip the noise part while keeping the rest.

Usual disclaimers that one should be of required legal age where applicable to drink, don't drink and drive, keep it sober etc ...

Looking forward to that.

More like it is finally coming back to Europe after the Pagan purge during the years of the Holy Roman Empire and through the Victorian age.

Halloween's origins date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in). The Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1.

In fact, the Celtic new year (November 1st to celebrate the dead) is the origin of the Latino Día de los Muertos Festival started from various European immigrants.

Hee Hee went in my Apple Store in Canada and purchased an Apple TV and Airport Ext. Time Capsule only to Find out in Canada they Donate the value of the card to Aids. I proceeded to return right away. I am finding more and more that BestBuy and FutureShop have better discounts all the time. Oh well, I'm sure it doesn't hurt their bottom line.

Best Buy iPad Air 2 @399 sold out online since I checked.
Any luck in stores for some of you?

Apple is definitely seeing 'RED"

Is Apple Store the only want that care to donate for good cause? If so, I don't want cheaper price from BestBuy, etc. Pay and give something for helping others at the same time is the right thing to do.

When does this code red thing end, I'm sick of seeing it in the App Store everytime I go there.

Yawn!!! I will save money and I WILL CHOOSE MY OWN CHARITY! The last effing charity I will be giving to is one that supports AIDS FFS. Children with AIDS who get it from their moms being too stupid to know you don't breast feed if you are HIV+, OK I am all for helping those kids. But the vast majority of AIDS patients in the developed world got AIDS from risky behaviors.

In 3rd world countries there are female sex slaves that have AIDS sure, and they deserve help but the help should first and foremost be directed towards stopping the sexual exploitation of women and children BY MEN!!

You really, really, have no idea what you're talking about. At all.

Best be quiet until you've done some reading, I think...

Anyone who purchased a phone last week call and get the $50 card?

If you purchased a phone as an upgrade, you can not/are not qualified to get the $50 gc. If you purchased an iphone outright/full price with no contract, Apple will return the phone and resell it back to you along with the $50 GC. The reason they cannot do the same with phones that are purchased as an upgrade is because they are tied to a contract and if Apple accepts a returned phone on a contract, it will cancel out your contract or do something which messes with the contract causing more frustration and wha-nots. That's what the salesman told me.

I ordered from apple.com as an upgrade on the Next program on Black Friday. Does that mean I won't get the iTunes gift card?

You're fine. My statement was in regards to another member asking if they could claim a gift card if they purchased an iphone before Black Friday. Any qualifying products purchased online on Black Friday will certainly get the Gift Card. Have fun with your new purchase Apple Product. ;)

Double check your inbox/spam box. Could be possible that they emailed a redemption code. Secondly, check your receipt to see if it shows a gift certificate amount. If not, contact customer service. It clearly says you'll receive a $50 Itunes gift card with a purchase of an Iphone 6 on Black Friday.

Well, just got off the phone with Apple corporate office after emailing twice and they told me that because I used the ATT NEXT program to buy the phone, I did not qualify for the promotion. She said it was in the fine print. Nowhere did I see this and nowhere did it say I was not eligable for the gift card when checking out. She wouldn't honor it. Very unhappy with Apple right now. Unfortunately, NEXT was my only option for getting the phone at the time.

Sorry to hear that. I wasn't aware that there were any stipulations or fine print myself even after looking for the fine print.
