I was sitting here coding on my MacBook Pro (fully specced and daaaamn hot), and a large fly landed right above my F8 key.

It twitched for a second, then fell over, buzzed for a few seconds, then died.

This fly was my pet. I've raised him half my life and... no, but joke aside, it was pretty crazy to see. It happened so fast :)
PETA has been notified, and action will be taken :D

Soo... yeah... saying that these things run hot is an understatement

I'm not surprised really. If you touch your hand against the area above the f keys on my mbp you will immediately withdraw them.

May his soul rest in peace

Might have just been that fly's time. They have short lifespans after all. I've seen them expire on my windowsill many a time.

Your MBP has killing skills. You must harness it for your own needs.

The amount of flies who land all around me. now all i need to do is sit around a bunch of MBP and i will stop being bothered if they die on contact.

Are MBPs REALLY that much hotter than PBs? My 12" PB is plenty hot, it's painful to touch around the F keys, I'm not sure I'd want anything even hotter.
