Not sure if this is the right forum, but in cleaning out my condo while preparing for a move, I discovered an old Apple laser printer (circa 1993) and a PowerBook from around 2002. The printer was still working as of around 2004, but I gave up getting it to work with PowerBooks that were 10+ years newer; the old PowerBook still starts up.

I also have an assortment of Mac OS disks, cables, a brand new Zip drive for the old PowerBook (still shrink-wrapped), etc. Before I dump these items at an Apple store or a recycling place, I figured I'd mention it here in case anyone wants/collects this old stuff or has recommendations for selling it or giving it away. Thanks.

Whereabouts in the world are you, and what model and condition of PowerBook is it? There'll always be someone that wants the PowerBook and it'll easily survive being shipped as long as it's in a reasonably sturdy box and some bubble wrap or similar.

New York. I believe I have the original packaging.

Which PowerBook is it and is it in decent condition? Might be interested if you'd be able to send it to the UK for a sensible price (slow boat would be fine if cheaper), if it's in decent condition...

I'll need to check the exact model, but after a quick Google search, I believe it's a Lombard or Pismo, which makes it a little older than I thought when I created the thread. The computer itself is in excellent condition.

Sounds great - it's a black one i.e. a G3, not a silver one i.e. G4? Let me know how much it would be for the cheapest way you can find to send it to the UK, I'd take the PowerBook (plus all the discs/Zip drive etc if they fit into the box) if it can be done for a sensible price :) (doesn't matter if it takes a couple of months or whatever)

Yes, it's black. I'll try to look into shipping options/prices this week, but I might not be able to handle this until after an upcoming business trip.

Just wondered if you'd had a chance to look into this? :)
