As someone who has been in small bands, I wish Apple would be the first major platform to make it easy to upload albums to Apple Music/iTunes Store. Sure, you can go through third party distribution channels to get your music on these services, but it's still not as easy as SoundCloud or BandCamp.

I don't see why this should be a features for artists, and not a feature openly available to the public to view. People love analytics! There is a whole Reddit community who make random graphs of analytics and stats for others to consume.

I agree. Here in the U.K. we have the Official Charts Company and it’d be great to see which songs would chart where based on purchases alone; the OCC do provide charts based purely on sales (as well as streams) but would be nice to see which artists are doing well rather than the same static Top 40 week in, week out *cough* Ed Sheeran *cough*

If I were an artist, I wouldn't want people knowing all of that about me and my success. I don't want people knowing how much I've earned from my streams (or be able to work it out based on numbers) lol.

Actually Tidal pays the most.
Actually its Deezer that pays the most. But everyone loves to brag.
[doublepost=1516672039][/doublepost]It would be nice if every streaming service would follow Spotify's lead - by providing us with listener data. Congrats to Apple for jumping on the bandwagon, maybe more of them will now.

Its starting. Artificial Intelligence in music tech. This plugin can generate drum kits after learning a users sound library. Instant songs!

Nah it’s much more powerful than that AI ... we don’t need AI to be quite honest.

16K songs use the drum beat from Funky Drummer - James Brown.

What you’re posting is not music. But that’s for another thread and several decades argument into the future or the past.

I guess this move is Apple showing analytics from their purchase of Semetrics prior to buying Beats.
