Because any issue at that time is unlikely to be the fault of the defect. The defect " should " occur quickly.

Eh? A defect can absolutely occur later down the track or earlier. Look how many cars and products are recalled because of manufacturing defects at all stages of the buying process.

I have this exact problem but on regular iPhone 14.

Camera stopped working properly after software update (!), front camera works fine. Back camera doesn’t show the preview.

It does work on some apps (instagram), and to be honest Apple forums are full of people complaining the exact problem (camera stopped functioning after software update)

I’m sure the replacement part has whatever defect fixed.

Based on my experience with previous programs by Apple like this, the part never gets redesigned.

That sounds like Hyundai with their engines. Let’s just replace the defective one with a new defective one 😂
