It tells me: "You do not have an Apple ID"

So it's sort of not there, but emailing it, I get a bounce stating, "550 5.2.1 user disabled; cannot receive new mail"

Well you might be able to completely delete the account.
My best suggestion would be to contact apple tech support & reactivate the account or cancel it as they would be the only ones who will have the tools necessary for the job.

Yea I've never been able to see a "total spend" report of all my iTunes and App Store purchases over the last 10+ years.

Somehow I don't think that is something I would like to see. Between movies, TV shows, Music, iCloud account, kids games and in-app purchases........that will most likely be far more than I want to know. Like maybe an amount that would have paid for the new Heat Pump we need

My advice to anyone who is very concerned about this is 1) Get a flip phone and/or landline. 2) Get a TV antenna and only watch what is broadcasted. 3) Purchase only CDs and vinyl records in a store or listen to FM or AM radio. 4) Read paper newspapers and do your research at a library by only using books and a microfiche. 5) Buy a road atlas and disable all GPS functions if your flip phone has them. 6) Send paper letters and mail all bills at the post office.
There now your privacy is fully protected!

OK, here goes:
1. We no longer have landline options here that are not VOIP. The phones look the same, but the signals are run over the internet. Even flip phones, burner phones can be tracked using cell towers. Just ask the special ops/forces in the military how they track terrorists.
2.This one might work.
3. Purchases would have to be made in cash and don't call into any radio shows where your name, number, and recording of your voice will be digitally archived.
4. Library cards are digital and your book /dvd/audiobook rentals are all under your name, under your card. You can't even use a false name b/c they now require photo identification to get a card and to check something out or to use a computer for 30 minutes.
5. A road atlas will work, along with city maps, but don't pay for any gas, food, drinks with a CC or use your flip phone to make calls (cell towers again) as that will mark your path.
6. Paper documents provide a permanent record of all your personal information (SSN, DOB, Address, CC, etc) which will be entered digitally into the computer upon receipt by the receiving party, including bills, legal documents, medical records. Lots of folks now scan letters, photos, etc into their computers for safekeeping, so sending them something physical is no assurance of privacy.

Perhaps we are being nudged toward a cashless society as a way to freely gain our personal information and patterns.

I just depressed myself. We're pretty much toast...........:(
