Ordered a 4.7 black leather on Friday am. Now preparing for shipment. Expected delivery 9/16-18.

People don't have the luxury of just driving or walking 10 mins to a ARS - I for one DO have that luxury. My ARS had plenty of stock last year for the 5s case. I remember last year walking in and grabbing a red one and seeing plenty on the shelves. I'm in a big city, so stock may vary.

I'm now looking at the leather case for the 6 in either black or red. Someone has told the gf that if you spill on the case then it soaks in and stains? This is of no concern to me because I don't think I've ever spilled on any of my phones, but she can be quite clumsy (you don't want to see the state of her iPhone 5 that I'm trying to sell).

Wondering if I should order now or wait until I can make the trip to my 'local' (30 miles away) Apple store so I can try it on first.

Yep, I ordered on the 12th. Mine showed up this morning. I was on the fence about leather vs silicone but the silicone ship dates were saying October I passed.

Very pleased so far. They do seem a tad more flimsy than my current Apple leather case but time will tell how durable they are.

Can tell you that I managed to get a drop of something on my iPad 3 red leather smart cover and it left a nasty black spot that I never was able to get out again. OTOH, I've heard generally good things about the last generation or two of Apple leather cases.
