I noticed my Apple Leather case is getting scratched on the outside very easily from even being put into jeans pocket. Is there a way to protect the Leather from getting scratched?

I’ve use the tan leather case for over a year, it will scratch easily, but then the scratches go away just as easily. I know everyone has their own likes and dislikes, but I like how the case looks overtime. An actual scratch doesn’t look good, but they do go away very easily, at least light scratches

Yeah but anything more than light scratches will not go away. It’s leather. That’s why I don’t use the leather cases anymore because when leather gets scratched it looks like crap.

I'm not too worried about a patina. Would be nice if there was something similar to how liquid screen protectors work that you can use on glass to protect the screen from scratches... instead you apply it to leather and it protects it from scratches or gives it self healing properties.

You should be able to rub the scratch out with your finger and skin oil

I think you misunderstand what cases are for,
they protect your iPhone, so the case gets scratched instead of your phone, if your case gets damaged or looks terrible after a while, you buy a new one, simple :)

BTW, the best iPhone case you can use, is the original box it came in :)

BTW #2, do you think, every morning, about what iPhone thread you will start ?

I am the thread queen so people think I do.. but I haven't started a thread in a few days

What bothers me is I am putting my phone in my pocket (no keys, but tight jeans maybe), and scratches are showing up from nowhere.

maybe looser jeans or get a different case? of the 2+yrs of owning 3 leather cases on my previous iPhone 6, my jeans have never scratched it. any other scratch i was able to rub the scratch and it would go away.

The oils that build up will actually do that to a degree. you can easily massage out any scratches just using your fingers once the case is worn in enough.
