I know that there is another thread regarding this subject. There are those who say that the corners are tight...and then there are those that say that the corners are loose, resulting in (usually) bottom of case peeling back from phone with the lightest of pressure.

This is ONLY for Apple leather case. Not silicone. Not clear case. Not any other brand.

When you post...please include 4 things:

1. Color of case

2. Production date (month / year)...you can find this information on the sticker (right lower corner) of the box

3. Corners tight (aka hard to peel back from phone) or loose (easily come off the phone with the lightest of push/pressure)

4. iPhone model

Thank you in advance.

3. Top right very tight, top left not that tight but ok, bottom corners very loose (phone slips out of the edges when phone is in my pocket)
4. iPhone 12

I will give it back. Even if it was only 31 € due to Black Friday offers at T-Mobile, for me it’s unacceptable.

1. Brown and blue (I’ve tried 10 cases but only have 2 boxes)
2. 10/2020
3. All 4 corners are tight
4. iPhone 12 Pro

When walking in front left jeans pocket screen facing out, all cases pop off the phone slightly. Since I put in my jeans pocket screen facing towards my leg there are no issues. Also tested 2 silicon cases and they exhibit the same issue. Unfortunately, I don’t have the boxes because all have been returned.

Purchased from Apple, Amazon, and Target.

Including type of iPhone would be helpful also

1. Saddle Brown

2. 10/20

3. Bottom left corner only popped out slightly once. Been tight since

4. iPhone 12 PM

Bought from Amazon 🇬🇧

Should probably also post whether you put your phone in your pocket screen out or screen in, and whether or not you wear only loose fitting pants. If you put your phone in your pocket screen facing in towards your leg or only wear loose fitting pants, the corners probably aren’t going to pop out.

My phone feels very tight in my case and I’m pretty sure the corners would never pop out if I didn’t put the phone in my pocket screen facing out.

I also wonder if phone size plays a role because the Pro Max will likely get pushed on more in people’s pockets just because it’s so big.

No. Phone mustn’t pop out of the case. It doesn’t matter how you put your phone in the pocket or if you wear loose fitted pants. It is a 60€ premium case so it hast to fulfill it’s minimum requirements. Nearly every 10 € Case does it.

For what it’s worth, my apple leather case on my 5S (which you would remember had a similar design) would have the same issue where the corners weren’t always tight. I remember dropping it and the case just coming right off on impact leaving a little chip on the side of the phone. Such a bummer because I love the leather cases, but I think it might just be a design flaw.

1-Baltic Blue
2-10/20
3-Loose corners, can’t remember which one but it was both on ⬆️ & ⬇️ corners.

This is my second case. The first was the same. Honesty I am not sure this will help coming to any conclusion.

Got it from Amazon

I put my phone in my pocket with the display facing outwards. Maybe this is another piece of information everyone can share

1. Baltic Blue
2. 10/2020
3. Corners tight AF, but top left and bottom right still pop off when my phone is in my pocket face out and wearing jeans or khaki shorts... gym shorts are fine.
4. 12 Pro Max

1. Saddle Brown

2. 09/20

3. All corners tight

4. iPhone 12 Pro

5. From Amazon UK

I do not have the date on me, but I have the black for the 12 Mini that I bought just yesterday at Best Buy. It is very secure- nothing I do short of pulling hard on the corners makes any of them come loose.

1. Baltic Blue

2. 10/20

3. Corners tight - I only ever carry it in my back pocket with screen facing my body. Otherwise it's in my upper-front jacket / vest pocket or in the phone pocket of my Tumi crossbody.

4. 12 Pro. Max

Purchased at Apple Store two weeks ago.

You all know each case has a serial number on the inside right? Why all the bumbling with the less accurate date on the box? Everyone should be posting serial numbers to really narrow it down.

What i am waiting on are the 11/20 manufactured date cases and see if there is a change in their production.

Here’s a thought: Could it be the dimensions of the phone are sometimes slightly off, and not always the cases?
